Summary

Take Sakura, your average ten-year-old with the average family, and average school, and average friends, toss an unusual magic book and some unusual magic cards into her life and you've got Cardcaptor Sakura! When Sakura breaks the seal on the Book of Clow, she is greeted by a bunch of odd playing cards, which break loose into the city when she says the name of the WINDY card. To make matters worse, Keroberos, the guardian of the seal, is now rooming with her. And even more devastating, after she captures one of the cards, it is caught on tape by her best friend, Tomoyo (Madison for all you dubbies out there), who designs all the costumes she wears and videotapes everything. So now, Sakura is no longer an ordinary girl, but a Cardcaptor.

When not destroyed by Nelvana, Cardcaptor Sakura (not Card Captors) is an awesome show. I bought the Japanese Uncut DVD produced by Nelvana, and Nelvana wasn't lying about it being "uncut" like FUNi did. I was darned right. So buy the DVD. It's only $25 at
